Our Mission
To improve the lives of our community members who are living with a disability by providing them with properly trained service dogs to help them live more independently despite a physical disability and by providing therapy dogs which will bring mental well-being to the people of Maine such as those in nursing homes, hospitals, and schools.
Help in areas from fundraising to assisting with puppy socialization and training.
Service Dogs are task-trained to help mitigate an individual’s disability.
Therapy Dogs are categorized as a pet that is trained to provide comfort and love to community groups such as hospitals, nursing homes, and schools.
Facility Therapy Dogs are a specialized therapy, or comfort dog, tailored and assigned at a specific facility such as a police department, school, medical center, or prison. These dogs are trained with extra skills or commands for that specific population in comparison to community therapy dogs.
